Columbus man arrested for terroristic threats found with 10 firearms (Muscogee County Sheriff Greg Countryman)

Sheriff Greg Countryman announced a Columbus man has been arrested for making terroristic threats. Deputies located 10 firearms inside the suspect’s home.

On Wednesday, May 20, 2026, the Muscogee County Sheriff’s Office Collaborative Intelligence Group (CIG) and Muscogee County Sheriff’s Office Special Operations successfully located and arrested Jonathan Beck, who was wanted for Felony Terroristic Threats.

The Muscogee County Sheriff’s Office activated the Special Response Team (SRT) to assist in serving the felony warrant. The Muscogee County Sheriff’s Office Special Response Team safely took Beck into custody without incident and confiscated five rifles, one shotgun, and four handguns.

Jonathan Beck was transported to the Muscogee County Jail on the following charge:
• Felony Terroristic Threats

This case remains under investigation, and additional charges may be pending.
