Hot, humid weather continues as we move towards the middle of August across Central Georgia.
This upcoming work week will be nothing short of a classic summer weather pattern across the region. Afternoon temperatures will run right around 90º, nearly dead on average, with isolated afternoon storms most likely on Tuesday and Wednesday. Heat index values will start the week around 99-101º, but climb to the 101-104º range by Thursday into Friday.
We will be watching very closely for an area or two of thunderstorms to develop to our north and push south in the Wednesday/Thursday timeframe which could bring some isolated severe weather to the region. Right now all signs indicate that any of these complexes will remain to our north, but as we've seen with previous storm complexes in the past few weeks that can quickly change.
