The wedge that kept parts of the region in the upper-70s on Tuesday is weakening quickly which will allow temps to climb back into the mid/upper-80s on Wednesday. Humidity values have dropped significantly so the continued well-above-average temperatures will feel much nicer for at least Wednesday and Thursday. Average highs in the region this time of year range from the upper-70s across the mountains to the mid-80s in the I-85 corridor, and we'll continue to be well above average through the foreseeable future. Dry weather is expected Wednesday with just an isolated afternoon storm possible Thursday. Rain chances will be a bit better Friday into the weekend as we move onto the northern periphery of an upper level low over Florida and light south winds bring in plenty of moisture.
