AREA Weather

Hot Sunday, slight cooldown to start the workweek

We'll be a bit cooler with showers and storms possible each day for the next week across West Central Georgia. Highs will remain hot, but below the mid/upper-90s of the past few days. A wedge front will park just north of us on Labor Day Monday with high temps on a gradient of cooler to the northeast and warmer to the southwest. Those closer to Atlanta will remain in the 80s, but further south highs around 90º are still expected. An isolated shower can't be ruled out on Monday, but chances will be higher through the remainder of the week. Tuesday and Wednesday we'll warm back up a tad with more sun than clouds finally back on Wednesday. Highs will return to the low-90s with afternoon storms possible. Thursday into Friday another weak front will push in to our north, acting as a focus for more widespread shower and storm development.
