Every incumbent reelected to Muscogee County School Board (Muscogee County School District)

Every incumbent on the ballot for the Muscogee County School Board won reelection with overwhelming support. Two of the five candidates faced no opposition Tuesday May 19, 2026.

Kia Chambers held onto the At Large seat with 65.83% of the vote. Chambers had 22,877 votes compared to challengers Kevin Miller with 6,719 votes and Sadiyah Abdullah with 5,155 votes. Chambers thanked her citywide supporters in a statement on social media. “Serving as your Muscogee County School Board At-Large Representative has been one of the greatest honors of my life, and I do not take your trust lightly. Together, we have worked to keep kids first, strengthen opportunities for students, support our educators, and move our district forward,” Chambers shared in part.

District 6 board member Mark Cantrell had the largest margin of victory with 76.53% of the vote. Cantrell tallied 4,646 votes while challenger Bob Roth had 1,425 votes. Cantrell posted a simple one sentence message following his victory. “The final vote is confirmed; thank you for your vote and support.”

District 8 board member Margot Schley was reelected to her seat with 67.04% of the vote. Schley had 2,364 votes. Challenger Joshua Smith had 1,162 votes.

Nickie Tillery from District 2 and Naomi Buckner from District 4 faced no opposition on the ballot.
