After two years in business, Deorio’s Pizza is for sale

For more than 50 years, generations of families gathered around the tables at Deorio’s Pizza. They were greeted by Willy Patterson for 36 of those years. Willy knew pizza and everyone’s name. There were pictures on the wall of smiling kids, couples, and entire families enjoying the ambiance and the delicious flavor of pizza and more Italian delicacies.

When the original restaurant closed in 2017 at Cross Country Plaza, it seemed the end of a local pizza era. Two years ago, the announcement that Deorio’s was returning with different owners was celebrated by some of those same families. The new location was just across the street on Auburn Avenue at the former location of CiCi’s Pizza. In many respects, the new location was building new family memories.

Today, it was announced on social media that Deorio’s is for sale.

“Two years ago, our family took a leap of faith and took over Deorio’s. What started as a dream became a place where families gather, friendships are made, and memories are created over great food.

As a homeschool family with five children at home, our lives revolve around faith, family, rodeos, farm life, and making memories. While Deorio’s has been a blessing, owning and operating a restaurant requires long hours and we’ve reached a point where we realize our children will only be young once, and we don’t want to miss these years.

This decision has not been made lightly. Deorio’s is more than a business to us; it’s a part of our family. We’ve poured our hearts into building a loyal customer base and creating a welcoming atmosphere.

We’re looking for the right buyer to continue what we’ve started and take Deorio’s to the next level. The restaurant is fully operational, equipped, and ready for a seamless transition.
