LaGrange Police Detectives have received additional information regarding the ongoing murder investigation of a shooting and murder charges that occurred earlier this week.
The information and evidence were reviewed, which led to the release of Telneschia Jones and the dismissal of all charges against her.
As Now Georgia reported yesterday, Telneschia Jones was charged with Murder, Aggravated Assault and Possession of a Firearm during the commission of a felony at the 300 block of Dix Street in LaGrange in a roadway shooting.Â
The newly obtained evidence revealed that Jones was not responsible for the violent act that resulted in the death of Keontavious Bailey.
During the course of the investigation, detectives determined that a witness had provided false statements regarding Jones’ involvement. Charges related to those false statements will be pursued accordingly.
The newly obtained evidence identified Randy Orlanda Johnson Jr. as the individual responsible for the death of Keontavious Bailey. As a result, Johnson has been arrested and charged with Murder.
