
CORNELIA, Ga. — Residents in several Cornelia neighborhoods are under a boil water advisory following a temporary water service interruption Friday, Sept. 18.
According to the City of Cornelia, crews temporarily shut off water service while repairing a 10-inch water main break. The affected areas include Camp Creek from Chase Road to Veterans Memorial Highway 441, as well as Colony Way, Valley Drive, Chase Summit, and Homeward Way.
As a precaution, Cornelia water customers in those areas are advised to boil water for at least one minute before using it for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, or washing food
Water samples will be tested for possible contamination. The boil water advisory remains in effect until further notice.
