
CLEVELAND, Ga. — A woman was killed Friday morning in a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Stovall Road and State Route 384 in White County.
The crash occurred around 9:31 a.m. Aug. 28, according to preliminary findings from Georgia State Patrol Post 6 in Gainesville.
Franka Young with the Georgia Department of Public Safety’s Public Information Office said a Ford Mustang was traveling west on Stovall Road approaching the intersection with GA 384 as a Dodge Ram 3500 traveled south on the highway.
Investigators said the Mustang stopped at the stop sign but failed to yield before entering the intersection. The Dodge Ram struck the passenger side of the Mustang.
The woman driving the Mustang died from her injuries.
The driver of the Dodge Ram was transported to Northeast Georgia Medical Center with minor injuries.
Authorities have not released the names of those involved. The Georgia State Patrol is investigating the crash.
