CLEVELAND, Ga. – White County Public Works has announced that they will be hosting a Tire Amnesty Event on Saturday, October 3, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at their facility located at 675 Truelove Road in Cleveland.
Officials say the event provides the community with an opportunity to properly dispose of unwanted tires and helps reduce illegal dumping throughout White County. Discarded tires can collect standing water, create breeding areas for mosquitoes, and pose environmental and fire hazards. Proper disposal helps protect public health, preserve the county’s natural environment, and keep our community clean.
During the event, participants may bring up to six tires per vehicle. Tires with rims will not be accepted.
