
Stormy weather delayed but did not diminish the celebration as hundreds of Habersham Central High graduates said goodbye to their public schooling and hello to their futures.
Nearly 500 seniors from the high school and Success Academy received their diplomas during a ceremony Friday night, May 22, at Raider Stadium. They were cheered on by fellow alum Kimberly Schlapman of the country music group Little Big Town, as well as fellow graduates Sarah Grady (valedictorian), Zachary Baker (salutatorian), Kaleb Adams (STAR student), and Class President, Maya Ballard.
The nearly hour-and-a-half-long ceremony was delayed by stormy weather, but ended with calm skies and smiles as family and friends streamed onto the football field to celebrate with their new graduates.
