Operation Summer Heat nets $2M drugs seized in Muscogee County

Muscogee County Sheriff Greg Countryman announces results of Operation Summer Heat (Sheriff Greg Countryman)

Sheriff Greg Countryman announced his office has seized more than $2M in drugs and made multiple arrests after a special operation in Columbus.

The Muscogee County Sheriff’s Office Collaborative Intelligence Group recently concluded Operation Summer Heat. This operation successfully resulted in the seizure of $2,675,802.00 in illegal drugs and the removal of 22 firearms from the hands of those who should not have them. The sheriff said 12 arrests were made and 22 firearms were seized during the operation.

In addition, Operation Summer Heat resulted in the following:
•53.5 lbs of Cocaine Seized ($2,398,600.00)
•48.4 grams of Fentanyl Seized ($14,520.00)
•65.5 grams of Methamphetamine Seized ($6,500.00)
•56.3 lbs of Marijuana Seized ($255,372.00)
•162 Oxycodone Pills ($810.00)
•Total Value of Drugs Seized: $2,675,802.00
