
The LaGrange Police Department is searching for two home invasion suspects after an incident there late Friday night.
On May 22, 2026, at approximately 11:27 p.m., Officers with the LaGrange Police Department responded to 118 North Street in reference to a burglary of an occupied dwelling.
Upon arrival officers located the victims, Juan Ibarra and Clara Checaal. Both reported that two black males wearing dark clothing and thin build, entered their residence after Ibarra opened the door thinking it was his neighbor. Both males were in possession of a firearm and used zip ties to bound both victims’ arms while they stole items from the residence.
Both suspects fled the scene prior to officers’ arrival. Officers set up a perimeter and utilized a Drone to try and locate the suspects but were unable to at this time. The Criminal Investigations Division was requested and detectives responded to the scene to conduct the investigation.
