CLEVELAND, Ga. — The Cleveland City Council held the first reading and public hearing on updates to the city’s sign ordinance. Tom O’Bryant, the city’s Economic Development and Planning Director, told the council Monday night that the changes address LED-type signs.
He said only monument-style LED signs will be allowed, and they must display static messages only, with no movement or flashing. The new regulation will define the light intensity during display. No electronic signs will be allowed in residential areas.
The council will hold another public hearing on the regulation before granting approval.
