
Communities across Northeast Georgia will celebrate Independence Day — and in many cases the nation’s 250th anniversary — with parades, festivals, concerts, lake celebrations and fireworks stretching from late June through mid-July.

Habersham County
Demorest Glorious Fourth Festival
July 4 — Demorest
A full-day hometown celebration featuring a parade, children’s parade, live music, petting zoo, cornhole and horseshoe tournaments, vendors and fireworks at the park.

Red, White and Tunes
July 11 — Clarkesville (Pitts Park)
Live music by Mixtape (90s cover band), fireworks, food vendors, bounce houses, face painting, beer and wine sales, and new America 250-themed additions including a children’s wagon parade and hot dog eating contest.

White County

Independence Day 250 at Freedom Park
July 4 — Cleveland
Run for Freedom 5K (8 a.m.), afternoon festival with music, vendors, food, family activities, and fireworks at dusk as part of the county’s America 250 celebration.
Hall County
62nd Annual Independence Day Celebration
July 4 — Laurel Park (Gainesville)
One of North Georgia’s largest fireworks displays over Lake Lanier, with live entertainment, food vendors, children’s activities and all-day festivities.
Clarke County (Athens)
Star Spangled Classic
June 27 — Southeast Clarke Park
Free festival with live music, rides, inflatables, food trucks and fireworks at dusk.
Barrow County
Celebrate America 250
July 4 — Winder (Jug Tavern Park)
Full-day festival featuring a parade, live entertainment, carnival rides, food vendors, kids’ activities and fireworks.
Franklin County
Lavonia America 250 Celebration
June 20 — Downtown Lavonia
Live music, food vendors, shopping, family activities and a drone show celebrating America’s 250th birthday.
Hart County

Pre-4th Arts & Crafts Festival
June 27 — Downtown Hartwell
More than 100 vendors, food, children’s activities, patriotic parade and downtown festival atmosphere.
Lake Hartwell Fireworks Celebration
June 27 — Long Point Recreation Area
Evening fireworks over Lake Hartwell following the festival.

Banks Crossing Fireworks Show
July 4 — Commerce / Banks Crossing
Large regional fireworks show along the I-85 corridor drawing visitors from multiple counties.
