
HALL COUNTY, Ga. — Authorities have released the name of the driver killed in an early Friday morning crash on Cornelia Highway in Hall County.
The victim has been identified as 41-year-old Alfredo Michael Lizano Bravo of Duluth, according to the Hall County Sheriff’s Office.
The crash happened just after 2:40 a.m. Friday, May 8, on southbound GA 365 at Kubota Way.
According to the preliminary investigation by the Hall County Sheriff’s Office Accident Investigation Unit, a tractor-trailer was stopped at a red light when a southbound passenger vehicle struck the rear of the truck. The car became wedged underneath the truck’s rear bumper.
Lizano Bravo was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities said the driver of the tractor-trailer was not injured.
Southbound lanes of Cornelia Highway were closed for about three hours while investigators processed the scene.
