On March 7, 2025, the LaGrange Police Department was provided a cellphone video of a physical altercation involving numerous individuals that had occurred earlier in the day behind the running track at Granger Park. An investigation was initiated and three female juveniles, along with two adults, Brittany Adams, age 33, and Christianna Freeman, age 17, were identified as the individuals involved in the fight.
Through multiple interviews it was determined that Christianna Freeman and one of the 16-year-old juveniles had been engaging in a verbal dispute for several weeks and had decided to resolve the issue with a physical fight at a designated time and place. Brittany Adams drove two juveniles to this location to meet up with Christianna Freeman and another juvenile for the sole purpose of fighting.
When the fight began, the adult Brittany Adams, was actively participating in the fight by stomping on the faces of two of the juveniles, as well as using a cellphone as an offensive weapon to strike two of the juveniles in the face. Three of the juveniles suffered visible bruising to their faces as a result of being struck with the cell phone or being stomped on by Brittany Adams. Christianna Freeman also suffered a fractured nose during the incident.
Christianna Freeman was charged with an Affray and was arrested on a warrant.
The two 16-year old’s and the 15-year-old were issued Juvenile Complaint forms also for the charge of an Affray.
Brittany Adams was charged with Cruelty to Children, 1st Degree (1 Count); Cruelty to Children, 3rd Degree (3 Counts); Battery- FVA (1 Count); Battery (2 Counts); and Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor (2 Counts).
