HABERSHAM COUNTY, Ga. — The Habersham County Aquatic Center’s pool is closed for nearly a month as crews complete a scheduled resurfacing project aimed at improving safety and longevity.

The closure began Monday, March 23, and is expected to last until April 17, according to information shared by the county and facility officials.

Officials said the work is necessary to maintain a clean and safe environment for swimmers.

“We want to keep you informed,” the aquatic center said in a notice to members. “This important maintenance helps us continue providing a safe and clean environment for our community.”

Members with active accounts will receive a separate email with details about how the closure may affect their memberships.

Aquatic center officials acknowledged the inconvenience and thanked patrons for their patience during the project.

Questions about the closure can be directed to Aquatics Manager Robert Oaks at [email protected].
