ATHENS, Ga. — A woman was shot and killed Sunday afternoon at an Athens apartment complex, and a suspect has been charged with murder, according to the Athens-Clarke County Police Department.
Officers responded around 1:18 p.m. on May 10 to a reported shooting at the Chateau Terrace complex.
When officers arrived, they found Latisha Andrews, 34, of Athens, suffering from gunshot wounds. Andrews died at the scene, police said.
Following an investigation, ACCPD arrested Sharod Greene, 52, of Elberton. Greene is charged with felony murder, malice murder, aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
Police said the investigation remains ongoing.
