CLEVELAND, Ga. — White County Animal Control is asking the public to help ease overcrowding at its shelter by adopting cats, dogs, kittens and puppies currently awaiting homes.
In a social media post, White County Public Safety said the shelter has reached capacity and is encouraging residents who have been considering pet adoption to visit the facility and meet the animals in its care.
Officials said every adoption helps create space for additional animals while giving pets a chance to find permanent homes.
The shelter also offers microchipping for pets at a cost of $10.
Residents who are unable to adopt are encouraged to share the shelter’s adoption information to help connect the animals with potential owners.
White County Animal Control is located at 680 Industrial Blvd. in Cleveland and is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
More information about adoptable pets is available on the shelter’s Adopt-a-Pet page. The shelter can also be reached by phone at (706) 219-7881.
