Clarkesville woman who was reported missing is now back home safe

Officials call report of her disappearnace a “misunderstanding”

The Habersham County Sheriff’s Office says a Clarkesville woman who was reported missing is now back home safe.

Local businesswoman and community activist Virginia Webb was reported missing by a family member on Sunday.

Twelve hours after the sheriff’s office posted about her disappearance on Facebook, they posted an update saying, “Virginia was located and is safe it was a misunderstanding.” The post goes on to say that “all is well” and that Webb appreciates everyone’s concern.
