CLEVELAND, Ga. — A water main break has prompted a boil water advisory for parts of Cleveland, including JP Nix Primary School and neighborhoods near West Kytle and Campbell streets.
The advisory follows a loss of water pressure caused by a break in a 6-inch water main at the intersection of Campbell Street and West Kytle Street near 115 West Kytle.
The following areas are affected:
- West Kytle Street: All addresses from 79 West Kytle west to Campbell Street.
- ABC Drive: Including JP Nix Primary School.
- Jess Hunt Road: From the beginning of the road to 327 Jess Hunt Road.
- Campbell Street: From West Kytle Street to 784 Campbell Street.
- Jackson Heights
- Jackson Circle
- Sherrell Drive
- Wanda Drive
- Bertha Court
- North Avenue
- Barrett Street
- Davidson Street

Once water service is restored, the affected area will remain under the boil water advisory through at least Tuesday, Oct. 20. Cleveland city water customers in the affected areas are advised to boil tap water at a rolling boil for at least one minute before drinking and cooking with it.
Restoration of service does not mean the advisory has ended. It will be lifted once water quality testing confirms the water is safe to drink.
