Two arrested for trafficking purple fentanyl

Columbus police seize purple fentanyl during narcotics investigation (Columbus Police Department)

Two people have been arrested for trafficking purple fentanyl according to a news release from the Columbus Police Department late Sunday.

On Wednesday, April 15, 2026, members of the Columbus Police Department’s Special Operations Unit, with assistance from the Georgia State Patrol, concluded a narcotics investigation resulting in the seizure of illegal drugs and the arrest of two individuals.

Officers found 102.5 grams of fentanyl that was purple in color, along with 0.2 grams of methamphetamine.

The seized fentanyl’s purple appearance is a reminder that illegal drugs are not always what people expect. Drugs can come in many colors, shapes, and forms. Some are made to stand out or catch attention, including from children. Regardless of how they look, these substances are dangerous and should not be touched.

The following individuals were arrested:

Brittany Stillwell, 32:
•Criminal Conspiracy to Commit a Felony (Trafficking Fentanyl) (Felony)
•Possession of Methamphetamine (Felony)
•Possession of Drug Related Objects (Misdemeanor)
•Trafficking Fentanyl (Felony)
•Crossing the Guard Line with Illegal Narcotics (Felony)

Tristan Long, 22:
•Criminal Conspiracy to Commit a Felony (Trafficking Fentanyl) (Felony)
•Possession of Methamphetamine (Felony)
•Possession of Drug Related Objects (Misdemeanor)
•Trafficking Fentanyl (Felony)

The Columbus Police Department urges the public to remain vigilant. If you encounter an unknown substance, particularly one that is brightly colored or appears out of place, do not touch it. Contact authorities immediately.
