Right now, 51 local veterans are waiting for critical home repairs. These are men and women who have served our country and now need help to live safely and comfortably in their own homes. That is where House of Heroes of the Chattahoochee Valley and YOU come in.
One of the HoH biggest fundraisers, Run Across Georgia (RAG), kicks off May 20. The time to register is now and money is already being raised. So far, five teams have signed up and have raised a little more than $2,500. The goal for the event is $50,000. The run begins at Tybee Island and ends in Columbus. That is 277 miles if you are counting.
Why it matters
This isn’t just a test of endurance—it’s a mission to serve. Every mile helps raise critical funds for House of Heroes Chattahoochee Valley, supporting free home repairs for local veterans and first responders.

“Each project we take on is more than a repair—it’s a restoration of dignity, independence, and hope. The base cost of a home repair project is $2,500, though many require additional resources depending on the scope of need,” said Josh McQuien, House of Heroes Executive Director.
