CORNELIA, Ga. – A Cleveland woman was killed Sunday in a single-vehicle accident on Level Grove Road in Habersham County.Â
The Georgia State Patrol investigated, and according to Franka Young, Department of Public Safety Public Information Office, preliminary findings of the crash by GSP Post 7 Toccoa said the accident was reported at approximately 2:10 p.m.
According to the state patrol, a 2013 Honda CR-V was traveling east on Level Grove Road. The driver was negotiating a curve to the left when the vehicle exited the travel lane to the right and struck a curb and sidewalk.
After striking the curb, the vehicle veered back to the left, crossed both lanes of Level Grove Road, and traveled off the roadway. The front of the vehicle then struck a tree before coming to an uncontrolled rest.
Young said the driver, Fiorella Weaver, age 86, of Cleveland, was fatally injured in this crash.
