MOUNT AIRY, Ga. — A Habersham County man is facing charges following an investigation into the alleged distribution of child sexual abuse material, according to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.
Agents arrested 26-year-old Adrian Machuca of Mount Airy and charged him with two counts of sexual exploitation of children.
The case began after the GBI’s Child Exploitation and Computer Crimes Unit received three CyberTipline reports from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, a GBI press release states.
Machuca was taken into custody on Tuesday, April 21, and booked into the Habersham County Jail.
The Habersham County Sheriff’s Office assisted in the investigation.
The case is part of an ongoing effort by the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, which works to identify and prosecute individuals involved in the exploitation of children online.
