A large brush fire has erupted this afternoon in the Ladonia community of East Alabama. Smoke continues to billow from the scene on Highway 80 near 43rd Avenue according to bystanders.
The Ladonia Volunteer Fire Department appears to have the brush fire contained by surrounding all four corners of the fire. The Crawford Volunteer Fire Department and Uchee Creek Fire Department also responded to assist at the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
