Indians roll past West Oak in run-rule victory

TALLULAH FALLS — Tallulah Falls delivered a dominant performance Thursday, defeating West Oak 12-2 in a run-rule shortened game at home.

The Indians (11-13) overcame an early deficit after West Oak took a 2-1 lead in the first inning. Tallulah Falls responded in the third to go ahead 3-2 and controlled the game from there.

A five-run fourth inning broke the game open, and the Indians added four more runs in the fifth to secure the early finish.

Jordan Miller led the way with three runs, two hits and an RBI. Ashton Roache added two runs, two hits and an RBI, while Ferris Nicholson finished with two runs, two hits, an RBI and a home run.

Drew Barron earned the win on the mound, allowing two runs on seven hits.

“Another great team win,” coach Justin Pollock said. “We’ve been talking a lot about getting hot at the right time, and I thought tonight was one of the best games we’ve played all year. Excited to celebrate our seniors tomorrow night.”
