After a scoreless first couple of innings, the Lady Indians gave up one in the top of the third before rebounding with half a dozen in the home half.
Gainesville would respond with four runs to pull within 6-5, but TFS scored two in the fourth and four more in the fifth for good measure.
Juliana Edelheit went 3-for-4 at the plate with four RBI and a run scored. Suzanna Cabe and Juliana Roberts each had two hits and two RBI, while Cabe added three runs.
The girls totaled four extra-base hits, with doubles from Edelheit, Roberts, and Cabe, and a triple from Gabby Heard. Joanna Miller also had two hits and three runs, while Ellie Shaw added a hit. Maddie Phillips had an RBI and a run scored.
Cabe picked up the win, striking out 13 against five runs (none earned) in the complete game effort.
What’s Next? The Lady Indians are now 5-6 on the season, and return to the diamond Tuesday at home against region foes Bethlehem Christian.
