A frantic search is underway for a missing East Alabama man. Fran Vancour left his home in Lee County Monday morning at 11:44 am and has not been seen since according to multiple reports. The 76-year-old man left his phone and identification at home and did not take any water with him.
The disappearance comes in the midst of a heat advisory for the entire Chattahoochee Valley area. Vancour’s last known location was near Lee Road 235 and Lee Road 499. If anyone in the area has seen him, please contact the Lee County Sheriff’s Office or call 911.
