Frances Bulluck

Frances Marie Bulluck of Clarkesville, GA, passed away peacefully at home on May 29, 2026. Frances was born on February 12, 1929, in Rocky Mount, NC, to the late Jesse Davis Bulluck and Ruth Louise Beatrice Baars Bulluck.

She graduated from Rocky Mount High School on May 30, 1947. After high school, Frances attended the Women’s College of UNC, where she prepared for a rewarding career at Rocky Mount Cord Company. There, she served as their Secretary-Treasurer Officer until her retirement.

After retiring, Frances made a significant move from Rocky Mount, NC, to Clarkesville, GA, to be closer to her family. She quickly built a new life, forming lasting friendships, especially with her cherished next-door neighbor, Mukhi Gill. The two shared many hours each week, sharing their latest life “ups and downs” and laughing through the craziness of it all!

Frances embraced the outdoors with enthusiasm. One of her great joys was participating in an active Bird Watching Club, where she enjoyed the company of fun-loving, adventurous birders, especially Mary Ellen Myers. She took many birding trips across the United States and expanded her adventures to Costa Rice and Ecuador, identifying over 1,000 different bird species.

In her later years, Frances shared her home with her beloved pet “Coco,” affectionately known as “Doggie,” who brought her such happiness! During her last two years, she was lovingly cared for at home by three “angels,” Faye, Sherri, and Betty, who shared life stories and created fun times together with so many memories. We are all thankful for the kindness and love they bestowed upon her.

Frances was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Fred Jefferson Bulluck (Helen Joan Lawrence Bulluck) and Jesse Davis Bulluck (Dorothy Sullivan Bulluck) and a nephew, Fred Jefferson Bulluck, Jr. (Debbie Eley Bulluck). She is survived by eight nieces and nephews: Kathi Hildebrant (Bob) of Windsor, VA; Daphne Behrmann (Randy) of Belleville, IL; Christy Johnson (David – deceased) of Maysville, GA; Dan Bulluck of Toccoa, GA; Harry Bulluck (Tammy) of Port Charlotte, FL; Jim Bulluck of Toccoa, GA; Helen Ratcliff (Robert) of Carrollton, VA; and Betsy Thiede (Matt) of Southern Shores, NC.

To her family, Frances was like a second mother who showed immense love and had a magical way of making each of them feel special!

A memorial service will be held at Hillside Memorial Chapel on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at 11:00 AM, with interment to follow the service in Hillside Gardens Cemetery.
