Former Trump ally blasts president over high gas prices

Former Trump ally and Georgia Republican congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene put the president on blast this week for record high gas prices across the nation. Standing in front of a California gas station Greene highlighted fuel prices there and back home in the peach state blaming the war in Iran for the recent rising costs.

“Let me tell you something…I don’t care if it’s Georgia or California it’s way too high. This is ridiculous. Look, everything you buy: your food, your supplies, all of your goods gets delivered by diesel. The war in Iran has got to stop. This is Trump’s fault. This should not be this high. It needs to end. Ridiculous,” Greene said in a thirty second video shared with her 814 thousand followers.

The former Georgia congresswoman refers to herself now as “politically homeless” and shared on social media that “Out of 9 cities nationally with the biggest jumps in diesel, 5 of them are in Georgia.” She didn’t stop there releasing a follow up video captioned “War with Iran. National high gas prices. Diesel crisis. Data centers. Flock cameras. Not releasing the Epstein files to protect his friends. This is NOT what we voted for.”

Sam’s Club is currently the cheapest place to get regular gas in Columbus at $3.81 a gallon Friday morning. According to ABC News the average price for a gallon of diesel is hovering around a record high of $6.43.

President Trump responded to the rising gas prices earlier this week posting on social media “I hope everyone realizes that price increases throughout America were caused by Sleepy Joe Biden and the Biden Administration, not by ‘TRUMP’. Even Oil was higher under Biden than it is right now, and we prevented Iran from having a Nuclear Weapon! With the temporary exception of Oil, prices are coming down sharply, and Oil will drop like a rock as soon as the Military Conflict with Iran is over, and that will not be long.”
