BUFORD, Ga. — An Eagles tribute band will take the stage at Lanier Islands Resort next month as part of a concert series benefiting two North Georgia nonprofits.
The Long Run will perform Saturday, Aug. 22, at the resort’s Peachtree Pointe Amphitheater as the second installment of Concerts for a Cause.
Gates open at 6 p.m., with the concert beginning at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $15 per person, with proceeds benefiting the Georgia Mountain Food Bank and Lake Lanier Association. Children younger than 5 will be admitted free with a paid adult.
The Long Run performs music from the Eagles catalog, including “Hotel California,” “Desperado,” “Life in the Fast Lane,” “Take It to the Limit” and “Tequila Sunrise.”
“I can’t think of a better way to spend a Saturday night than listening to some of the Eagles’ greatest songs while enjoying beautiful lake views and supporting two great causes for North Georgia,” Lanier Islands Resort President Matthew Bowling said.
The concert follows the series opener featuring Jimmy Buffett tribute band Lost in Paradise.
Food and beverage concessions will be available during the Aug. 22 concert. Tickets also include resort access for the day, allowing concertgoers to visit other attractions at Lanier Islands before the show.
The Concerts for a Cause series will conclude Sunday, Sept. 6, during Labor Day weekend with Rumours ATL, a Fleetwood Mac tribute band.
Lanier Islands Resort is located at 7000 Lanier Islands Parkway in Buford, about 45 miles north of Atlanta. Tickets for The Long Run concert are available through the resort’s website.
