The City of Cornelia will close the “Tim Loves Tink” underpass on Wells Street temporarily beginning Wednesday, July 10, for maintenance and repairs at the underpass.
The Cornelia Police Department has issued a traffic alert to inform travelers that the closure will affect Wells and Irvin Streets while city crews complete the work. The police department encourages the traveling public to avoid the area near the underpass and to use an alternate route when visiting the downtown area.
According to Cornelia City Manager Dee Anderson, the underpass should only be closed for a week.
