CLEVELAND, Ga. — Bre Bardenwerper has joined the City of Cleveland as its operations and communications coordinator, leading city communications and helping coordinate projects across departments.

A lifelong White County resident, Bardenwerper began the role in August. She brings more than a decade of experience in communications, marketing, community engagement, project management, and small business ownership. Most recently, she served as school and community engagement coordinator for Stephens County Schools.

Bardenwerper will work alongside City Manager Kevin Harris and city staff to coordinate priorities and keep residents informed.

“She brings a strong background in communication and community engagement, but just as importantly, she understands this area and the people who call Cleveland home,” Harris said. “I believe she will be a great addition to our team as we continue looking for ways to better serve and communicate with our community.”

Bardenwerper said the position offers an opportunity to serve her hometown.

“I love my town, and getting to do work that directly serves the people who live and work here is something I don’t take lightly,” she said.

“More than anything, I want people to feel like they know what their city is doing, and why it matters.”
