Baby Nellie Renee Free, the precious infant daughter of Dylan Shane Free and Alexis Yearwood Free, was gently welcomed into the arms of her Savior on Monday, June 29, 2026.
Though her time on this earth was brief, Nellie’s life was deeply meaningful and touched the hearts of many. Before she ever entered this world, she was already surrounded by an abundance of love and covered in countless prayers. Her tiny life became a reminder that every life, no matter how short, is a precious gift from God. While her family grieves the loss of the hopes and dreams they held for her, they find comfort in knowing that she now rests safely in the loving presence of the Lord. Her sweet memory will forever remain in the hearts of all who loved her and eagerly anticipated her arrival.
In addition to her loving parents, survivors include her maternal grandparents, Leanne & Warren Masten and Herbert Yearwood; paternal grandparents, Shane & Tina Free; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, other relatives, and many friends who shared in praying for and loving Baby Nellie.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 6, 2026, from the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & McEntire Funeral Home with Pastor Hoyt Winkler and Mr. Tom Skipper officiating. A private family interment will follow the service.
Baby Nellie’s parents kindly request that those attending her service wear bright colors in celebration of her precious life and the hope found in Christ.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. & 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 05, 2026.
