Babies in the spotlight for America 250

America celebrates its 250th birthday on July 4, 2026. The journey toward this historic milestone is an opportunity to pause and reflect on our nation’s past, honor the contributions of all Americans, and look ahead toward the future we want to create for the next generation and beyond.

That next generation began at Piedmont Columbus Regional this week. Meet these adorable little firecrackers celebrating their first Fourth of July in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. (NICU) The compassionate care team at Piedmont Columbus took photos of these little bundles of joy so their loved ones can have something to commemorate America’s 250th birthday.

Our future will be in the hands of these babies. They may be your next mayor, the next CEO of a company, or the next helping hand you receive from a nonprofit organization.

Some 4 legged babies like K9 Havoc are trained to save lives.

Babies are not always two legged. They are the dogs that become K9s for police officers. They are the horses that provide comfort for soldiers with PTSD for organizations like Warrior Outreach.

Enjoy America’s 250th and believe we are in good hands, paws, and hooves.
