MAYSVILLE, Ga. — Two people were hospitalized after an apparent drowning incident at Commerce Watershed Lake in Banks County Saturday night.
Banks County Emergency Services received a call at approximately 8:51 p.m. Aug. 29 reporting that several people were drowning at the lake in Maysville. When emergency crews arrived, they found two victims on shore who had been pulled from the water by bystanders, according to Banks County Emergency Services.
EMS personnel stabilized both patients at the scene before transporting them to Northeast Georgia Medical Center. Officials described their conditions as guarded but stable.
No other injuries were reported.
The Banks County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident.
