CLEVELAND, Ga. — Hundreds of White County families gathered at Freedom Park for the annual Back-to-School Bash, enjoying a day of community, school supplies, and family fun as students prepare to return to the classroom.
Organizers said the Aug. 1 event was a success, with pleasant weather helping draw families to the park for an afternoon focused on supporting students before the start of the new school year.
Community partners and local churches distributed school supplies, treats, and other back-to-school essentials while volunteers greeted families throughout the event.
The Cleveland Police Department assisted with traffic control, helping ensure the event ran safely and smoothly.
“We loved seeing so many White County families come together,” organizers said in a statement, thanking the police department, churches, and community partners for making the event possible.
With backpacks filled and supplies in hand, students across White County are now looking ahead to the first day of school, which begins Friday, Aug. 7.
