DAWSON COUNTY, Ga. — One juvenile was detained after a knife was produced during a fight Tuesday at Dawson County Junior High School, authorities said.
Dawson County Sheriff’s Office school resource officers responded to the Sept. 8 incident involving two juvenile males. The sheriff’s office did not say whether the knife was used or provide details about what led to the altercation.
The sheriff’s office began investigating and contacted the Department of Juvenile Justice. One juvenile was detained, while another was treated by the school nurse for minor injuries and released to a guardian.
The investigation remains open and ongoing.
