Heat Advisory for much of Georgia Tuesday afternoon

It will be ever so slightly cooler across Georgia on Tuesday afternoon. However, a widespread Heat Advisory will once again be in effect through the afternoon.

The Heat Advisory is in effect on Tuesday afternoon for Bartow, Baldwin, Barrow, Bibb, Bleckley, Butts, Carroll, Catoosa, Chattooga, Chattahoochee, Clarke, Clayton, Cobb, Coweta, Crawford, Crisp, Dade, DeKalb, Dodge, Dooly, Douglas, Emanuel, Fayette, Floyd, Gordon, Greene, Gwinnett, Hancock, Haralson, Harris, Heard, Henry, Houston, Jackson, Jasper, Johnson, Jones, Lamar, Laurens, Macon, Marion, Meriwether, Monroe, Montgomery, Morgan, Muscogee, Newton, North Fulton, Oconee, Paulding, Peach, Pike, Polk, Pulaski, Putnam, Rockdale, Schley, South Fulton, Spalding, Stewart, Sumter, Talbot, Taylor, Telfair, Toombs, Treutlen, Troup, Twiggs, Upson, Walker, Walton, Washington, Webster, Wheeler, Whitfield, Wilcox, and Wilkinson across North and Central Georgia.

A Heat Advisory is in effect from noon to 8 p.m. Tuesday heat index values up to 106º. High temperatures and dewpoints are expected to be 1-2º lower than on Monday which is just enough to bring the maximums under 110º, but still well into dangerous territory.
