Starting Friday a backdoor front will move back into the region on the edge of a high pressure system to our north. This front will stall and act as a focus for a band of showers and storms throughout the day. Exactly where this band sets up will determine who sees the highest totals, but there is a very good chance everyone gets wet at some point today, it just won’t be near a washout.
More widespread storms are likely on Saturday and will be more spread out throughout the day vs mainly afternoon.
A weak high pressure system to the north will push another weak wedge into the state on Sunday into Monday. We will be right on the edge of that, which means lots of lift for, you guessed it, more storms.
Starting Monday we will begin to dry out, and by Tuesday all signs point towards sunshine and much warmer weather.
