On May 15, 2021, deputies and investigators with the Troup County Sheriff’s Office recovered an unidentified decomposed body from West Point Lake. It was later determined by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation that the body was that of an adult black female and a cause of death could not be determined nor the identity.
Our partners with the FBI were able to create a facial reconstruction of the skull that was recovered. If this image looks familiar or you know of an adult black female that went missing around the time of May 15, 2021, you are asked to call Investigator Clay Bryant at 706-883-1616.
