People magazine features LaGrange First Responders after cookie donation (LaGrange Police Department, LaGrange Fire Department)

The LaGrange Police Department, Fire Department and the Troup County Sheriff’s Office are featured in People magazine after receiving hundreds of Girl Scout cookies. According to the article “an anonymous donor partnered with a Senior Girl Scout in Georgia to deliver surprise local first responders with 324 boxes of cookies.”

LaGrange Police and Fire Departments as well as the Troup County Sheriff’s Office received the cookies much to their delight. “The LaGrange Fire Department is incredibly grateful for the thoughtful donation from Senior Girl Scout Abigail Parham of Girl Scout Troop 20792,” LaGrange Fire Chief Willie Bradfield said in a statement obtained by PEOPLE. “These cookies were shared across our fire stations, bringing a boost in morale to our crews who serve the community every day,” the article reads.

Local high schooler Abigail Parham came up with the idea of donating the cookies according to a report by The LaGrange Daily News.

The Troup County Sheriff’s Office shared the report by People on its Facebook page. “It’s not everyday a People Magazine article features our local agencies!”
