Union County Fire Department Station 1 was initially dispatched. As additional information indicated the fire had extended to the home, stations 2, 3, 4 and 13 were also called to the scene, bringing both volunteer and career firefighters and multiple fire apparatus.
First responders arrived to find a truck fully engulfed in flames, with the blaze spreading to the exterior of a small residential structure. The fire had also reached the attic space of the home.
Firefighters launched an aggressive attack on both the vehicle and the structure, ultimately extinguishing the fire. Despite their efforts, the home sustained extensive damage to its exterior, attic and roof.
