Shepherd has earned the distinction of being a finalist in a contest called “High Five for Teachers” sponsored by Fox 5 TV in Atlanta. The winner will receive $2,500 for their school. Shepherd says she wants to use the money to build an outdoor sensory area for students with disabilities.
