Into September on a heater for North Georgia

Much like the Atlanta Braves, we're headed into September on a heater. There's not much to say about this upcoming week besides hot, hot, hot. Afternoon highs will run well above average and just a few degrees off records for the entire next 5-7 days. Current modeling keeps any storm development pretty much squashed on Wednesday, but by Thursday and really Friday we do expect chances to start creeping back up as the upper level ridge slides east and some small upper level disturbances move in from the southeast. Still, rain chances will be fairly low each day only in the 30-40% range at most Friday into the weekend, but a lucky few folks will see some heat relief.
