Sue McCollum Landers

Sue McCollum Landers, age 86, of Clarkesville, Georgia, took her Heavenly flight home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, July 25, 2026.

Born in Cleveland, Georgia on September 4, 1939, she was the daughter of the late William Paul McCollum and Daisy Irene Miles McCollum. Sue was raised in the Blue Creek Community of White County and graduated from White County High School with the Class of 1957. She began her career with Scovill Manufacturing Company in Clarkesville, where she faithfully dedicated more than 43 years of service before retiring in the early 2000s.

Sue’s greatest joy in life was her family. She treasured every opportunity to spend time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, creating countless memories that will forever be cherished. Affectionately known as “Nanny Sue,” she was not only a beloved grandmother and great-grandmother to her own family but also lovingly embraced that role by many others whose lives she touched with her warmth, kindness, and gentle spirit. Her unwavering love, steadfast faith, and servant’s heart leave behind a legacy that will continue to inspire generations to come.

Sue was a faithful member of Line Baptist Church in Alto, where she loved her church family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Charles Randall Landers; daughter, Heather Landers London; sister, Annette McCollum Allen Turpen; brothers-in-law, Herbert Allen, N.U. Turpen, William “Bill” Meeks; sister-in-law & brother-in-law, Melba Landers Nicholson & Leon Nicholson; nephews, Blake Allen & Danny Densmore, & great-niece, Hannah Nicholson Gabrels.

She is survived by her loving daughter and son-in-law, Kay Landers McEntire and Rev. Kenneth McEntire; grandchildren, Kasey & Natasha McEntire, Kolby & Brittany McEntire, and Aslan, Walden, and Tennyson London; great-grandchildren, Blair, Payton, Kamryn, Paisley Kayte, and Keaton McEntire; sister, Doris McCollum Meeks; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Janice Landers Ward and Butch Ward; along with several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many dear friends who will forever cherish her memory.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 29, 2026, from the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & McEntire Funeral Home with Rev. Kenneth McEntire officiating. Interment will follow in Habersham Cemetery with Chaplain John Reeser officiating at the graveside.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 28, 2026.
