Construction on the new Judicial Center in Columbus is prompting a busy road downtown to close for several days beginning today May 11, 2026.

A section of 10th Street between 1st Avenue and 2nd Avenue will be closed to eastbound traffic only from May 11, 2026 to May 22, 2026. Westbound traffic will continue to travel as normal through this section. The closure of the eastbound lane will allow for the installation of new infrastructure at the Judicial Center.

A detour route will be provided via 1st Avenue, 9th Street and 2nd Avenue. Drivers are encouraged to proceed with caution in the area of the lane closure and detour route. All questions regarding the closure should be directed to Ryan Pruett at [email protected] or by calling 706-225-3878.
