North Georgia Technical College in Clarkesville canceled its evening classes Monday due to a power outage.Power was restored around 8:45 p.m., some 4.5 hours after it went out following an accident.
A pickup truck crashed into a power pole just south of the college on GA 197 North. The accident broke a power pole and caused live wires to fall on top of a passing tractor-trailer. Fortunately, no one was seriously injured.
