A homicide investigation is underway after a deadly shooting in South Columbus Sunday November 16, 2025. The victim has been identified as Xavier Trent Igus and the next of kin has been notified.
Igus was shot at the Budgetel Inn and Suites on Victory Drive just after 7 PM. The suspect is still at large according to Muscogee County Coroner Buddy Bryan.
The Columbus Police Department’s Violent Crimes Unit is leading the investigation.
