North Georgia Allergy Forecast

Did you notice a little tickle in the back of your throat lately? Pollen season has arrived with an uptick generally beginning around March 1 outside the mountains and a little later the further north you live. Recent warm weather has some things blooming, and we’ll be issuing a daily allergy forecast until likely around early June when things calm back down.

Currently, recent rains have certainly helped but tree pollen is the main contributor with some oak, juniper and elm being observed by the Atlanta Allergy Clinic. Grasses and weeds remain low with just a bit of mold thanks to the damp ground.
